FAQ
Frequently Asked Questions
What is Beef Tallow?
Beef Tallow is pure, rendered beef fat that has been slow-cooked to remove impurities, creating a smooth, creamy, nutrient-rick fat. For centuries, it's been valued as a versatile, all natural staple used for cooking, skincare and even candle making.
Rich in vitimans A, D, E and K, beef tallow closey mimics the natural oils in human skin, making it deeply nourshing and highly effective for moisture, repair and protection.
Our tallow is sourced from high quality beef rendered with care and crated into products that honor tradition while serving modern wellness and lifestyle needs.
Where do you source your tallow?
We proudly source our tallow from a local Georgia farm where the cattle are 100% grass-fed and grass-finished -- raised without hormones, grain or shortcuts. Because healthy skin starts with clean ingredients, we begin with suet, the nutrient-dense fat from around the kidneys, known for its purity and skin loving benefits.
What is the Shelf life of Tallow?
Tallow has a naturally long shelf life and can last up to one year when stored properly. For extended freshness, you can keep it in the freezer. Our tallow is rendered without any additives or preservations, though we sometimes add vitamin E, a natural antioxidant, to help prolong it's shelf life.
Thanks to low content of polyunsaturated fatty acids, tallow remains stable even when exposed to heat, light and oxygen - unlike many conventional skincare products that go rancid under the same conditions.
What essential oils do you use?
We exclusively use pure organic essential oils - trusted name known for purity and safety. Each oil is thoughtfully selected for its therapeutic benefits and is guaranteed to be 100% pure, never diluted or altered.
How do you render your tallow?
We combine both wet and dry rendering methods to carefully remove impurites and create a clean, nutrient- rich tallow. This thoughtful process helps retain the skin-nourishing properties of tallow while producing a smooth, natural base perfect for our balms.
What if my tallow balm melts during shipping?
If your balm arrives soft or slightly melted, no need to worry -- it is still completely safe to use. Just pop it in the fridge or freezer to help it firm back up.
How do you ship your products in hot weather?
During warmer months, we ship our tallow products frozen and include ice packs to help prevent melting in transit. Since tallow is a natural ingredient that's sensitive to heat, this added step helps ensure your product arrives in perfect consition.
